With two food allergy kids and an allergy-related invention on the way, I’ve been religiously on top of the latest food allergy news and developments. Thankfully, I find there to be a greater sense of awareness of late to the food allergy problem and a real desire by some to make life easier and safer for our community. For example, the Food Labeling Modernization Act of 2015 adds much needed protection for those allergic to sesame seeds.
As we head into the new year, I am hopeful that we will continue to see progress in solving the food allergy epidemic. Recent articles about DBV Technologiesand their Viaskin Patch are incredibly encouraging and leave me feeling that there is even more exciting news to come in 2016.
Lastly, I read a great article this morning and thought I would share: Everything the mom of the kid with food allergies is sick of hearing . I’m sure many food allergy parents feel the same way!
Happy & healthy new year to all!
